I was born in 1972 in Eastern Germany, in a landscape defined by silence, borders, and the weight of the unspoken. Growing up between shifting systems and fractured histories taught me early to sense what lies beneath the surface of people. and beneath the surface of stories.

That instinct for the hidden and the psychological became the foundation of my writing.

 

After the border fell, I lived and worked across Europe, teaching languages and immersing myself in cultures that shaped my understanding of how stories transform when they cross borders. These years refined my voice: multilingual, intuitive, and drawn to the thresholds where memory, myth, and human psychology intersect.

 

Today I live on the Red Sea in Egypt, married to an Egyptian whose heritage opened the door to ancient narratives and spiritual traditions that continue to influence my work. This cross-cultural life German roots, European movement, Egyptian present is at the center of everything I write.

 

My novels often take place in the regions I know intimately. I walk the landscapes before I write them:

the temples along the Nile, the desert routes to Petra, the old quarters of Alexandria, the salt-heavy Baltic Sea coast.

These places carry their own stories, and I listen. Their atmosphere becomes part of the worldbuilding, part of the emotional architecture of my books.

 

My fiction explores female bloodlines, inherited shadows, intergenerational trauma, and the mythological traces that follow families across continents and generations. I write in German and English, creating dark psychological fiction with mythic undertones stories that linger in the mind long after the last page.

 

What I write is grounded in lived experience, real places, and the unspoken histories we carry within us.

I write from the thresholds between cultures, between worlds, and between the hidden rooms of the mind.
